How much solids?

Strange that he would suggest this, since milk it supposed to be their main source of nutrition until 1 year.  Asher is 7.5 months and I still BF first and plan to until he's a year (when I'll start weaning).  BTW, he's bit me a couple times (with teeth) and it's not so bad that I'd consider weaning.  I just howl really loud.  He gets really startled and stops.  Then he doesn't do it for a long while.

I think i am going to continue doing what i am doing, breastfeed first then solids, it works best for us.  I was surprised he suggested this as well, she is 14 pounds and he seems happy with her growth.  anyway mother knows best right   :)

How much solids?

I felt the same when I started my son on solids, was not sure what the amount was, and than when I added the breastmilk it became realy watery. Found out later it has to do with the enzymes in your milk breaking down the cereal........ I made it with cooled boiled water after that, much better consistency!
My son has three meals a day goes something like this:
7am bfeed
9am cereal with water to drink
9.30-11am nap
12noon dinner 3/4cubes of veggies with chicken and one cube of fruit puree, water to drink
3pm bfeed
3.30-4.15ísh nap
6pm pureed fruit with baby rice/ or maybe baby yoghurt 9the ones made with formula) he used to have a bfeed after tea, just dropped that yesterday
7.30pm bfeed
8.00pm bed (sleeps through the night has done since he was 6 weeks)

I seems to work for us, have been concerned with dropping feeds down to three, but health nurse seems happy. My son is 5 months 2 days old and is 19lbs 11.5ozs (well was that weight 2 weeks ago), he was almost 10lbs born. He doesn't seem huge though, is very long. I have a high metabolism myself so perhas he inherited that. He lets me know though if he doesn't like something or has had enough.
