Baby 4.5 mths waking at 1 and 430
« on: September 07, 2005, 07:28:12 am »
I have started DF her at 10pm  but she still seems to wake every 4 hours.
Have started her on solids, not too much and feeding her formula after 5pm. She goes down anywhere between 6 and 8pm.

Whats the answer? after 4.5 months of interrupted sleep I'm exhausted.

Have got her onto the bottle in the last 2 weeks and  also off the dummy.

This seems like a much bigger hurddle somehow.

hi,

my 5mo has been doing this for the past couple weeks too! used to feed only once at night, no dreamfeed. i think it's developmental - he's been learning to roll. since your lo is around the same age i'm guessing it's developmental too. even subtle developments, like learning to hold their hands together or switch objects from hand to hand, are huge for them.

don't know the answer, i've just been trying to do pu/pd and pray for the best!

Good news, and really hope that it will last..

After the DF at 10, she woke up at 1am, same as the night before, I left her for a little bit and then got up and gave her a cuddle. She stopped crying till I put her down and then she started up again. I left her for another 30 minutes of griping, got up again to make sure that she had not made her way to the top of the cot and gave her another cuddle. Gripy for a bit longer and then asleep. It took 1 1/4 hour but she never made too much of a racket, no noise and then the odd noise would eminate. Then she slept through till 7am! I am estatic! Woke up chatty and content.

Long may it continue!!! :D
