Waking at night - help
« on: September 12, 2005, 13:54:17 pm »
I have a 12 week old son.  He was getting his final feeding around 9 and waking around 3.  Now he will wake around 2, then 5 or 1 then 4.  I am trying to put him on a schedule but when he eats during day depends on when he wakes at night.  I dont understand how one day he will go to 330 - 4am and then most nights he wont.  Any suggestions?

at 12 weeks old, it is probably a growth spurt, if he is bf, you need to feed him more & if he is bottle, up the amount in the day time bottles, babies this young it is normal for them to go differing lengths at night at times, if he is sleeping well in the day (naps of 1.5-2 hours not 30-45mins) then he has good sleep habits & he needs feeding.
