Hi there I thought I'd answer you as I just bought some today, as far as I know it doesn't really matter what shape you buy, it depends what shape fits in your sterilizer. I bought wide neck because thats what fits in my sterilizer, I've tried it out it seems to work well my LO did'nt seem to mind it let me know how you get on .

I agree - it shouldn't matter.  I have used the narrow ones for both of my boys (I breastfed DS1 6 months, but DS2 had to go to bottles at 6 weeks).  Someone once told me to buy a bottle with a nipple that resembles your own...sorry, but my nipples don't look like either!   :D

Anyway, I liked the narrows becase they were easier to find in our stores (for the graduated sizes of nipples) and the nipples seemed smaller for the small baby mouth.  However, I am of the opinion that your baby will learn to suck on whatever you offer - it just takes time sometimes.

Good luck!

If the avent bottles are wide neck then order the wide neck bottles if they are narrow then order the narrow. I'm sure if you stick to a similar shape you should have no problems. :D

Hiya
Whichever Dr Brown/B-free bottles you get they are well worth it.
I got all of mine second hand from ebay and regard every single penny I spent a blessing as they have really helped my little one. I use the wide necked ones as they fit in my avent steam steriliser and they are excellent.

just to add. buy the B-free one. i was told B-free is the newer version.

there is a blue rubber stopper on the tube that makes the bottle leak free if you ever take the bottle when you are out and about.
