Wrong to AP when overtired?
« on: September 12, 2005, 12:42:44 pm »
Hi all-

I am just wondering thoughts on this.  When my dd gets overtired like yesterday (one 45 min nap) she cannot go to sleep easily.  In fact she screams bloody murder!  It is loudest most painful screams ever and she cries big fat elephant tears.  This is a rare ocassion and yesterday was totally mama and papa's fault there were no naps (had open house).

I did end up breastfeeding her until drowsy/asleep.  I guess- is this against the rules?  Is it ok as a once in awhile thing?

Hi there,
I don't think it hurts once in a while, as long as you get back on track asap.
I'm guilty of it myself!  I think a lot of us are...

I think it's fine.  I've had to do it with Asher every so often.  You do what you gotta do to get them the sleep they need so they can get back on track faster!
