Hi,
Breastfeeding used to be the world's oldest birth control method  . However, for this to work, you would have to nurse on demand, sleep with your babies, use no pacifiers and bottles, have a lot of skin to skin contact with them and have rest, drink well and eat a balanced diet. The basic principle would be to nurse not less than 3 hours day and night. This is a theory and in our world it is hard to be a human pacifier and be rested, especially with twins  . Even women who do all of the above get their periods early, it is just how their body is, it can be sometimes genetic. Some women manage to remain in amenorhea (absence of period postpartum) for a considerable length of time, even up to 20 something months but average nursing mom would have her period back at around 6-12 months. Mine returned at 6  .
