:?
My baby is just coming up to four weeks.  He was 12 days early (a planned section).  THe bit I find the hardest a the minute is knowing if he has had enough activity or not.  I try to keep things to about an hour from waking for feed as feel this is probably enough for him.  I pop him in moses basket and sometimes he goes straight off but others he needs a pacifier to help get him there (then he spits it out himself) and others like right now, he shuffles and moans for 30/40 minutes before dropping off.  Am I putting him down too early?  I do look for the yawns etc. but feel I must be doing something wrong.

i doubt you're putting him down too early.  at 4 weeks an hour up at a time is likely the most any baby could handle!

sounds like everything your lo is doing is quite normal.  as long as he isn't all out fussing, the 30 minutes of moaning in bed happens.  the fact that he's falling asleep on his own is wonderful!!  sounds like you're doing a great job.  :D
