Q. about Dream Feed
« on: September 16, 2005, 09:00:41 am »
Hi All

My DD is 4 months and has been exclusively bottle fed. We have had her on E.A.S.Y since birth and it has worked like a charm. But recently she has been taking less and less during the dream feed until totally refusing it the last couple of nights. She has been sleeping from 8.30pm - 8.00am from 4 weeks and without the dream feed still slept through the night. Should we push giving her this feed as it causes her to wake and become distressed? Can we work at topping up her other feeds to cover this? If she doesn't have this feed she is only having 4 feeds a day (she's feeding 4 hourly), do I need to worry about this?

Hope someone can help

Thanks

tigerkat

if she does not need the DF then i would let it go, especially oif it distresses her.  if she is finishing all her daytie bottles you can incraese the amount a little, otherwise don't worryabout it.

dd2 is still on DF to sleep through but dd1 did fine without it - even with DF she still woke for nightfeeds so we let it go and she slept thorugh better without it.  to each their own

sounds like you are a very lucky mom
