Tummy Time
« on: September 19, 2005, 21:52:19 pm »
My pedi told me that my lo needed MORE tummy time, because his head is starting to become mis shapen.  When I put him on his tummy he becomes very angry.  All my friends say it is critical to development.  What do I do?

Roll up a towel & put it under his shoulders.
Sit on the floor & put his sholders on your leg & his legs on the floor
Sit on a chair & put him across your legs looking down at the floor.
They all helped me with my ds#1, who got frustrated with it too.

Just wanted to add one we were doing last night...I was multiskilling.
I was on my back on my toddlers bed with Liam on my chest (chest to chest) & we were reading stories to my toddler... Liam was loving it, I found it a bit hard as Liam was moving so much he almost rolled off many times. But if you do chest to chest, they look at your face, which they love & you can have a chat.
