Moms of Spirited Babies - any tips on sleeping at daycare?

(1/2) > >>

JKHH:
My daughter Kay is going to daycare in 5 weeks (at which time she will be 6 months old). Because she is part spirited, she sleeps in a dark room and we keep things quiet. I am worried that at daycare she will have trouble sleeping with other babies in the room. She will be one of 10 infants. Any tips on how to make the transition easier on Kay would be greatly appreciated!

GG:
Since itis  unavoidable, I would think you'll probably have to begin introducing sunlight during her naps, a little at a time.  Does anyone else have any suggestions from experience?

How does she sleep, by the way?

Smarti:
My spirited lo was the same way.  I've started keeping the TV on during nap times and was shocked when he has no problems falling asleep and staying asleep.

JKHH:
Overall, Kay sleeps very well.  She is funny though because one day she will sleep through the doorbell and the dog barking...and on a different day she will wake up because the phone rings.

If I could do one thing over again, I would allow ds to get used to hearing noises while sleeping.  He loved the vacuum and hair dryer when he was an infant; I would just have kept doing stuff like that and kept the tv or radio on so he was used to it.  That's one of the things my mom is right about.  :?

Janet, it's good that your dd is used to the background noise.  That'll be to your advantange.  I suppose some days she probably wakes up anyway because of the day she's having (don't we all? ;-)).
