Hi

Two things you can do:

1.  Slowly wean the swaddle and see if she will sleep without it.  First try letting one arm out for a few days or a week then let the other arm out after that.

or

2.  Try the Aussie swaddle.  There's instructions with picture at the top of this forum.  I found that if you have a large enough sheet, then it is very hard for babies to get out of them.

Just to let you know, I swaddled dd with the Aussie till she was about 6-7 mos.  Now I just loosely wrap her torso with soft blanket as she is so used to it being part of the sleep routine.  Good luck.

Hi! I can totally relate to the wriggly baby! About a month ago my DF out of desperation tried double swaddling Molly. It has gotten cooler here at night so we weren't worried about over heating anymore. We have an old sheet cut to a 42" X 42" size which we use as the first swaddle. Then we just use a receiving blanket in the typical swaddle fashion over the first swaddle. It works amazingly well! If she is awake and playing for about an hour or so sometimes can manage to get out but usually is snug as a bug in a rug all night!
HTH!
