Whats the average awake time. Is it 2-3 hours???

What sort of routine should i be looking at being on, bottle feed, solids and naps etc.

LOL, totally understand, been there - but don't stress about it.

My dd is basically awake 2.5hrs after her morning wake up, then down for 45-1.5hrs nap, up for another 2.5hrs and then down for 2hrsish and then up again until bedtime.  Some babies are on 2 naps and some may still be needing the afternoon catnap.

With my ds for his first Christmas he was about 7mths old and we really just went with the flow.  I kind of kept to the routine for feeds, but just had to wing it for naps, less stressful - it all worked out ok in the end and I think we just had to put him down early for bedtime.

If you're having the day away from home, perhaps get your lo used to sleeping in a different environment now if you like so it will be familiar.

Perhaps check out the EASY forum at the top for routines for this age group.

Thanks Nikki, we are spending the day visiting family then we are going to a hotel for lunch so Ds will have to take his naps in his car seat

I will just go with the flow like you say.

Thanks for replying  :D

Mine is five and a half months old; she stays awake for 2.5 hours after breakfast, only an hour and a half after lunch but then stays awake from four until her bath at 6:45.  I totally agree with the go with the flow policy though, do not stress and try to keep the feeds at normal intervals.

If you're moving around to different venues you'll probably find that you'll end up with lots of little naps anyway.  If you've got a good routine going the rest of the time, one day when things are all out of sinc won't matter and you'll be able to get back on track in no time.  I recall actually feeding my ds to sleep once or twice since he wouldn't settle and also got overstimulated with all the action.  It'll be fine.  In fact I think the less expectation that things will be in the usual pattern the better, then when it does work out you'll be nicely surprised. :)

My routine is getting up at around 8:30, change baby, feed baby, make him play (which he doesn't mainly :) )

Then I have breakfast, he starts dozing off at around 10... he naps until 11ish... then at 11:30-12 he has his lunch (solids).

Then goes for an hour and half then dozes off for an hour and a half... and like that until dinner time, that he will go to sleep afterwards.

He's an E.A.S.Y. kind of baby... pretty much.

Best things work out at the last minute, so don't panic about how your baby's going to be during X-Mas time.. :)

hi! i have a 7 months old baby and he sleeps, if i'm lucky, for 2 hours. sometimes he sleeps just for 1 hour. Naps are 3 times a day.
About the feeding, i've been trying to give him mashed vegetables since he was 5 months and 3 weeks, and he doesn't like them yet, so mostly i breastfeed him.
I hope i was helpful.
