Question about swaddling and feeding
« on: September 26, 2005, 20:46:16 pm »
Hello
I hope this isn't a stupid question but I just want to make sure I am not keeping my son like a little prisoner all night!
I swaddle him with the Miracle Blanket which is fantastic, although he is getting big now and wont fit in it for much longer. He is 4 months and 10 days. My question is, when I feed him his 10-11 dream feed and also in the morning when he feeds between 4 and 5, do I need to unswaddle him to feed? Can I just feed him while swaddled?
I would think since he is swaddled all night, I do unswaddle to change when he is soaking wet, that he might need a break from being swaddled, a little stretch? But if I unswaddle him for his quick feed and burp, will all the motion and movement, etc, wake him up more??

any advice is appreciated!!!

If it hasn't been bothering him so far, I would keep him swaddled!! :D

I am ALWAYS hesitant to wake a sleeping baby!
