milk - sippy cup question
« on: September 27, 2005, 11:04:34 am »
My 6 month dd is only taking one oz of milk at the 10.00/10.30 am feed, seems like she just wants a drink.

Do you think this would be a good time to put a small amount of formula in a cup as she does drink water in a cup and would like to try this before offering juice.

Or would you take the milk completely away and offer water and a finger food snack.

Please advise.

Hey Jane - i would put the formula in the cup - this way she gets the extra nutrition if she does want a drink (but there is no drama / lost feed if she does not drink much)- i always gave alex water in her sippy and she still to this day won't drink anything but water from a cup   this way she gets used to formula in a cup and you can eventually get rid of the bottle and just use the cup.

keep offering water in a cup at other times too - just do both!
