How did you introduce meat?

Wondering if anyone could share their protein introducing tips - we are so far good with cheese but egg yolk and chicken no go!  Haven't tried fish yet.  Or tofu.

Did you start off disguising it in other foods or giving it as finger food....?

I disguised the egg yolk in Tyler's infant cereal. I just mashed it up and stirred it in there. That's still the only way he'll have anything to do with eggs! You can do the same with tofu, or you can offer it as finger food when your LO is ready. It's slippery, so I coated it with dry infant cereal or crushed cheerios. Yogurt is another great protein source. We didn't even try any meats or fish until Tyler was old enough to eat small bits of it as finger food, so I can't help you there! :D

Xavier had pureed chicken mixed with veggies when he was about 9-10 months.  Also mashed up egg yolk, and the jarred baby food casseroles that had meat in them.  The texture of the pureed meat put him off, but he was okay with it being mixed with veggies.  Now that's he's older, he eats his meats as finger foods, but sometimes I still mix some pureed chicken into his mac and cheese for that extra protein.
