I used First Meals, by annabelle karmell with my son, now 2 and am making foods again for my 8.5 month old DD it is a really good book to buy.  lots of info, and good quick easy meals

did you know that there are foods you can serve that don't have to be cooked?   besides bananas!!   its awesome. My son is such a good eater and I think it has a lot to do with how we fed him when he was a baby.
anyhow I was just brousing this folder and thought I would put in my 2 cents :D
happy feeding!

instant no cook purees

banana and peach   both ripe
peel and pit mash away!

papaya& cottage cheese or yougurt
cut papaya in half, remove seeds
mash with sieved cheese, or yogurt

Avocado and banana or papaya
mash 1/4  of small avocado together with 1/2 of small banana
*you can substitute papaya for banana

plum or apricot and pear
peel and pit ripe apricot or plum, slicethe fruit and puree or mash with the flesh of a peeled  cored and chopped pear

mango and banana
1/4 mango 1/2 banana mash together

I copied this from my book, I hope it helps....it is still banana but at least there is variety :D

by thw way...
make sure the fruits you serve are well ripened ans sweet.
foods made with banana are NOT suitable for freezing.
