Crying in Sleep
« on: October 03, 2005, 13:16:20 pm »
Marisa has recently learned how to fall asleep on her own - she tends to do a mixture of looking at her crib soother, fussing (not crying) and sucking on fist if she can find and pacifier if not (she's not a big paci fan). We are so impressed and proud of her!

However, the past few days, she has been lightly crying off and on from 4:30am-waking around 7am. By the time I go into her room she has either stopped or does stop as soon as I lay a hand on her or anything - but is this normal? Is it a sign of discomfort? She does have reflux and has had a cold the past few days...

Crying in Sleep

hi there,

that sounds very normal - that period of the night is when the lightest sleeping occurs - and it sounds like she may be crying in her sleep.

go to her if it escalates, but it sounds like she's doing a great job at soothing herself & going back to sleep!  :D
