Nearly 12 month old waking for hours.....Please HELP
« on: October 04, 2005, 05:47:21 am »
My 11.5 month old DD, has been sleeping pretty badly for a while now. I am also pregnant and VERY tired. Lately she has been sitting up in bed crying and holding her "doggy". We dont rush in straight away, but she then gets more and more worked up, and wont settle unless shes picked up, even then though she still cries. She really loses her breath and it breaks my heart. I think when she tries to re-settle herself, the noise she makes when trying to regain her breath stops her settling. Its now gotten to the point though that she and I are awake up to 2 hours when she does this. She gets so distraught as do I. Can anyone provide any suggestions? Thanks I am really quite desperate as I am not handling it very well having all day morning sickness and exhaustion.

Oh dear, sounds like things are pretty hard going at the moment. Have you tried just doing the put down element of pick up put down?
