When Stage 1 of sleep happens soon after eating
« on: October 08, 2005, 20:16:55 pm »
Hi.  We just instituted the EASY method yesterday morning for our 4-week-old who had developed the habit of exclusively sleeping in my arms.  Things are going VERY well already!  However, the last time I went to wake her up, it took an hour to do so. Then, she nursed well, but within 5 minutes of finishing eating she was clearly demonstrating "The Window" and by the time I got her upstairs she was in "The Zone," with the seven-mile stare well established.  She went down in her crib well, and is now happily sleeping.  I am concerned that she had no real Activity time, with the exception of her diaper change and a quick song with me.  Should I be concerned?  Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the boards!

Your baby is four weeks old? Good for you for starting so early! It Sounds like you are doing an excellent job at reading your little M's cues.
As for the activity, she is still very little, that's all the activity she can handle.

You're doing great! Keep it up!

Hey, this place get's addictive, have fun!
