my lo takes 4-6ozs a feed and at night only wakes about once at around 2.30am (having ahd her last bottle at 7pm) however im starting to wonder if she really needs this as last night she only took 3 ozs? what do u think? was she just using the milk to get herself back to sleep or should i try a dummy to see if she will go back to sleep?

Hi

How old is she? and what's her schedule like in the daytime? Do you clusterfeed and dreamfeed? You could try this to get the extra ozs in then you'll know that she's not waking from hunger and can try to settle her without the feed.

love
Marie

Hi

I'd probably look to doing feeds at:

7am
11am
3pm
7pm
9pm (cluster feed)
10.30pm (dream feed)

Then she'd be getting enough ozs in in the day time to see her through the night which should hopefully stop the need for the 2.30am feed. She'll probably wake out of habit for a few nights but you should be able to settle her without feeding if she's not hungry.

If you're not sure about the dream feed technique and want some tips just post or PM me.

love
Marie
