Hi my carsen has just turned 16 wks she goes down at 7.30 no dream feed wakes around 3.30 i put her on the breast for seconds and she's back sleeping till 8 if i did the dream feed she would still do this ? she also sucks her thumb she no need for a dummy  :roll:  how do i get her out off this? with not to much upset to her any advise would be brill

Hi Nicola

You could try to introduce a dreamfeed to see if she'll go through but it sounds as though she's waking from habit rather than hunger and you don't want to add the DF if she's not hungry (that's just making more work for you in the long run).

I'd try settling her without putting her on the breast if you can (check out the PU/PD announcement at the top of this forum). You could also try "wake to sleep" to get her out of this habit - there's information on how to do this in Tracy's new book, or if you put a post about it I'm sure someone will give you some tips (I've never used it so don't know the ins and outs).
