Need help getting on track
« on: October 08, 2005, 04:22:56 am »
OK So I was getting a really good routine going for my DD. She was finally sleeping better and things were a lot calmer.
Suddenly the last few days has been horrible. She's not sleeping again and she's eating like crazy. I can't seem to settle her. I've tried Pat/Shush it was working great to settle her at night. Now it just seems to make things worse.
I'm pretty sure its her 6 week growth spurt but I feel like I'm going crazy again. Please can someone help me figure out how to get her back on track.
Not only does she need sleep but so do I. I havn't slept for 3 days because she's so fussy and my DH isn't here. I feel ready to pass out..

Hello.
If she's eating like crazy, it definitely sounds like a growth spurt.  Does sleeping seem to be the issue?  Check out the sleep boards, there is loads of GREAT information there.

Any ideas of why she is fussy? Does she seem to be in pain?  Or overtired?

She's still pretty little so there will be a lot of adjustments  :D

I have no idea what was going on but it seemed to have past. She's had it rough today but thats because we spent the night at my parents and they don't listen to me when I say enough is enough and she's overtired now and overstimulated. However, we're home now so we're hoping things will settle  down.
