Aussie swaddled till 7 mos and now I just loosely wrap her torso with a soft blanket.  The motion of being wrapped signals her that it's time to go to sleep.

I Aussie swaddled Tyler with a bedsheet until he was 8 mo or so, then switched to wrapping his legs with a thin blanket. That's how he naps to this day (he's 21 mo). Like Mimi said, wrapping him helps cue him that it's time to relax and take a nap.
