At what age to go from 2 naps to 1?
« on: October 11, 2005, 17:34:32 pm »
Hello,

Could someone please tell me when a baby normally goes from 2 to 1 nap a day? My dd is 11 months old and I am starting to wonder if it is time for her to go to the one nap?

She has always been a short napper. 45 minutes on average, this is why I have her have 2 naps per day. Any idea if you drop to one nap does this naturally increase the length of the one nap?

Thanks for the feedback,
Jennifer

There are a lot of us here going through the same thing.  Here are some links to go through.

Fun isn't it!   We are still between needing one and two so it varies day to day for us.

With Charlotte it just sort of happened by itself.  When she did go to just the one nap (after lunch - she dropped the mid morning nap), I noticed that it was longer at first, but is now usually about an hour.

I'm not sure what sort of age that was though - its mad how easily you forget these things!
