Hi,

Branwen and Julieb thanks for the help.

Well I'm not sure I should try pick up put down just yet. He is cutting 4 teeth and that is just making him nuts. He wakes up so often or just moans all nite long. Poor guy. So I guess I should wait to start doing pu/pd after all 4 teeth show? And for how long can I give him Tempra/Tylenol at nite? I have been giving it to him for like the last 6 days combined with that powder you put on their teeth and orajel just one night. He's been teething for the last 2 weeks and I think I got 2 more weeks to go until all 4 are out. Can I give him Tempra for thet long?

I'm from Costa Rica, Central America and I don't think I can find any of the baby whisperer books here. How is pu/pd done?

Thanks,
Bye

Deborah and everyone else  - I fill a sippy full of milk at the beginning of the day and let her drink out of it all day (I put it back in the fridge after she has it with breakfast, lunch and supper) Is this OK? I actually was going to post this question on the site.

Julie -   Freaky man! I wouldn't have even known what to do. I would have been one of those people who stared for sure. Thanks so much for posting the video. I left you a comment. I think she will like it becuase it looks sturdier than the ball popper. She pushes that one over all the time and then can't figure out why the balls won't drop down in.

Kate - If it makes you feel better, the little girl (1 and a half) at our day care never drank whole milk. Her mom put her right on semi skimmed. She is doing fine. I am doing whole milk per my doctor - but you may need to do what works for you and Ciara.

Debra - Good for you! Take a vacation! Enjoy yourself. We are planning a vacation to Colorado this summer to visit relatives and friends- Branwen!  :D Anyone else along the way???? I would love to meet some of you!

a_astorga - Check out the PU/PD board. There is alot of good advice there. I never had much luck with it - so I can't be much help. Sorry!

Debra, eeks 12 hours of driving  You're braver than me.

Hazel, I gave Emily her sippy straw cup last night with formula, this was only the second time she's drunk from it.  Dh and I both made sucking noises and faces and each had a sip and then Emily chewed on the straw for a few seconds and drank a few sips.  I wasn't worried about her drinking too much cause she only drinks about 1oz at that time anyways.  But you've probably tried that approach already  Oh and I warmed it up just like her bottle too.

Us, well Emily fell asleep in the stroller for 30mins right before dinner :D And then she was a happy camper and didn't go to bed till just after 7:00pm (which is very rare).  And she slept till 6:30am :D A nice bday present for me (today I'm 31!).  We gave her yogurt again at 6:30pm with a couple sips of formula in the sippy so I'm hoping that's helping.

Have a good day/night everyone, Tarri :D

Christine- this is what I do too.  Then the next am I use whatever is left for cereal and then dump it out and start again.  The only exception to this plan is on certain nuby cups she can backwash into pretty bad(icky)...so I check it out first.  Straw ones she can't get anything back into though...so that is good!

Happy Eirwen News- She got up onto her knees pulling up on the gate yesterday.  She also said "papapa" and reached for my dh.   :D

a_astorga  if you are really into BW methods and feel strongly about trying I would be willing to send you a copy.  I am just so passionate about these methods that I refer to my book as my "baby bible".  I think every mom should have one--if even for a reference.  You can email me your info if you want. :D

Kate- Eirwen was VERY sensitive to the move.  She had fun watching me pack everything up though and I made sure to let her play in the boxes, hold things for me, basically be a part of the process.  The first weeks were really hard- we both cried a lot but it got better.  I think the thing that I did best, if I do say so myself, was not give in to nap refusal (due to time changes) I sort of insisted- we rocked, nursed and I did every AP thing I said I would never do again but I knew that if I could get her naps established we would be okay....and we are!

Happy Birthday Tarri!!!!
a_astorga-Your little boy sure is a cutie!!!
Deb-I'm so glad you had a good day.  It just really helps to refresh things.  And I agree with you on babies and their circumstances.  When I posted about Kelsey not napping in the pm, it was right when we were in and out having our house shown and seeing other houses.  Now that we're back to normal she's napping again.  Good luck on your trip.
Yogurt-I usually buy Yobaby in peach and pear, but I've bought Stonyfield if they've been out of the other.  She likes them both.
I bought some whole milk today, so I'm gonna give it a try.  She's done really well to drink about 3 oz of her formula from the sippy during meals.  Should I pop the milk in the microwave for a sec to take the chill off?
