Alternative to Safety Rail?
« on: October 14, 2005, 04:16:38 am »
Hello,
I need to remove the front rail from my son's crib (he is 27 months old).  However I was told by the baby store crib expert that safety rails won't work on a crib because they need weight/bulk of a full mattress to keep it in place.

What else can I use to keep my son from rolling out while he sleeps?

Also, he may need a little boost getting in and out during the day cause lowest mattress setting is a bit high still.  What can we use as a step for him, that's still soft in case he rolls out of bed at night?

Thank you,
Carla

My SIL couldn't get the rail she wanted so tried with out it. Neice fell out of bed on first night, well not badly, she ended up sleeping with her head on the bed and most of her body on the floor!!! After that has had no trouble at all, she didn't end up getting a rail at all.
