Good Morning Girls

Thanks Richelle, Andrea and Hayley for your never ending support, I hope you're right and it will get better soon. We had a rough nite last nite too :(

Kate: sorry sweetie, I don't know what to say about the egg thing, I haven't even begun to go there with Brady yet, but the scrambled egg suggestion sounds like it may work, let me know how it ends up so I have a heads up when I get there with Brady....

Richelle:
so glad to hear Sophie is well and ok after her little hive incident...it can be scary I know, but glad all is well now :)

Andrea:  as for the turkey dinner for breakfast, I know what you mean, I felt the same way with Brady, it just didn't seem right for Breakie...lol
I asked our PED and she said it was fine to do it as a lunch food, still enough time before bed etc to rule out allergic reaction, and then it doesn't seem wrong as a breakfast item. So maybe try it for lunch instead.

Hayley:  Yah!!!! :!:  for Daniel taking 200ml of his bottle   great work!

Traci: so sorry to hear about Cole's fall, but glad he is alright, what a scare that must have been. Sounds like you handled it really well, better than I would have....

Well, last night Brady went down at 7:15pm, and woke up at 10:30pm and I BF him for his DF, then he went back down but was awake again at 12:30am, 1:30am, and was crying lots until 3:00am, back up again at 5:30 am and then for good again at 6:30am..... :(  I do hope this gets better soon.  I was so happy when we had the really good nap day, but it only lasted that one time.....I need some sleep    I'm trying to take it one nap at a time...so I hanging in there....

Well, off for now...Have a good weekend girls....give all your babes a big squeeze :!:

hi guys!

Jackson is doing really well....the codiene makes him so tired though.  He slept from 715pm-820am this am.  He woke once at 330am for pain meds.  He was so hungry this am!!!!! I could not get the food in fast enough---he started crying! :(  And now it is 910am and he is already back to bed.  So sleepy.....  also, he hasn't pooped for a couple days-which the codiene isn't helping either!!!   AAHHH-never ending battle :)

Hayley-I think you should be expressing off some of your milk so that your glands don't get plugged and you don't develop mastitis.  I hope you are feeling better soon.....but I'm worried about your poor boobies! :D

Micky, I am so happy to hear that Jackson is doing well.  I am sending you and him and dh lots of hugs and healing snuggles.  Wht a brave little man you have.

Holly, hang in there.  Sorry it got difficult again.  These lo's always want to change the rules of the game don't they?!

Andrea I can't wait to shop your online store...I am a shameless online shopper.  Living in Olympia, we don't have a whole lot of shopping selection, so I go to the web...the catch 22 is while I'm not working, I have tons of time to shop online but not so much cash  :?

Hayley, I am totally a Monica too.  Do not look in my closets/cupboards/drawers!!!  But my house is very tidy, the behind doors areas could use a little work and I have to admit I am not always so clean as I am tidy.

Traci-these babes are tough.  Yesterday Sophie was doing her usual backwards scooting around the living room while watching baby einstein and she was scooting under the legs of a chair.  She whacked her head on the chair leg...I thought we would have major tears, but no...she was too busy watching the video!!!!  She absolutely loves the zebra pupets on Baby Monet (and the babies too).  Don't know if this obsession with the vids should make me happy? But at least it was a good distraction from the pain

Nikki glad your dessert/snack went over well.  You seem to be doing so well making the adjustment to a gf household!  Good for you.

So yesterday we had a dry run of a "work morning" I went in fro a 8:30am meeting and dh had to work at his usual time.  I dropped Sophie off at MIL's.  It actually went pretty smoothly, but I had to get up very early...5:30am.  And of course, that did not include a run. Hmmm...it did give me time to pump though, and I won't be doing that when I go back, so...I don't know we'll see.  I guess even though the lo's are somewhat sleeping through the night doesn't mean we get a whole lot of sleep anyway huh?  Just seems like there's always so much to do.  I guess I'll sleep after retirement  :D
Take care girls.  As usual, already looking forward to chatting on Sunday.
Hannah

Holly, been thinking about you..hang in there.
Micky, pleased that Jack is feeling better, poor little guy!
Hayley, I dropped one feed at a time and even expressed when I felt too full, you poor thing but be careful to take it slow or you might get mastitis which I gather is sheer agony!
Nikki, what did Lisa say about egg yolks? I am nervous about starting that here.
Judy, hope all is going well.
Hannah, too scary about the jives. Glad she is fine.
I also try new foods at lunchtime, I can't seem to get my head around turkey, beef etc for breakfast.

Hey I actually saw your post about chat Traci and popped in but no one was there (9pm est)

Well I'm gonna admit - I've been about to post here a time or two and then stopped myself.  Things are really looking up here and I was worried about jinxing things (if things turn soure tomorrow I'm definitely staying away forever ;))

So I decided this week that at 6.5months there was no reason Kaia and Hannah were still waking so many times at night.  I was barely getting 4hours of BROKEN sleep at night and I am just plain burnt right out from it.  So I picked up the latest BW book and thought gosh if I don't fix these wakings I'll be getting up still at a year and the problems will be that much more difficult to fix.  No reason in my mind that these girls need to eat through the night.  They won't take solids really.  They'll eat like champs one day and then nothing for many days.  For example, last day they ate solids really well was Monday I think (maybe it was Tuesday) and barely a bite or two since then.  They're honestly just addicted to the boob.  SO.  Pu/pd *by the book* starting Tuesday at bedtime.  Went really well and they settled within half hour.  Then at 11.10pm we had our typical wake up (Hannah at least always wakes at this time) from both of them.  It took me right till midnight picking up one, putting her down, picking up the next one, putting her down over and over.  Woke both Zoe and Sarah who then huddled in our bed with dh until I was done then went back to their own beds.  But then I was woken at 6am (SIX!!) by...............  thunder!  Mother nature woke me up NOT my children!!  Hannah woke at 6.10am to feed and went straight back to bed until both her and Kaia woke at 8.30am!!!  They'd fed at 6.30pm the night before!!  Kaia's first feed was 8.30am!!  WOW!

Wed night Hannah woke at 11pm and one pu/pd was all she needed.  Kaia was up at 2am.  PU/pd wasn't working but she was really stuffy.  Got her up to put drops in her nose and realized her diaper was poopy.  So after a diaper change and drops and suctioning her nose she was so ticked off and awake that it did take an hour to get her back to sleep.  But no feeding.  They woke around 6am and again, back to sleep till 8am.

Last night I don't think anyone woke at the 11pm time slot (isn't that silly I can't remember!!) but they both woke at 3am and I thought I was screwed for sure but I went in determined not to give in.  Well I did pu/pd, went to the bathroom, got a glass of water, tucked in Z&S and was back in bed by 3.15am!! :)  then none of the children woke before I heard Hannah happily chatting at 7.30am!!!!!!  :)

Hannah has gone down for naps so easily all day today.  She usually cried through 3-5 min of patting but today it was either ONE pu/pd or nothing and she went to sleep.

Can you say THRILLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm sure it won't be but a few more days and they'll hopefully stop waking at night all together!  OH yeah - that's right the first night one of them woke at 4am -but only to coo happily for a few minutes - I never had to get out of bed.

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Sorry I haven't read any of today's posts.  Don't mean to ignore everyone - going to go do that now!

Judy!!!!  Hooray for you!  That was probably a hard decision to make, but obviously the right one for you and the girls.  (Have you seen the guess who's pg thread from yesterday?  Your name was mentioned a few times and I just about spit out my diet root beer!)
Ryan did a great job for our friend who sat with him while I went to a happy hour for dh's work.  (Do you all think I am such a party girl or what?  Only got a soda as I came home to nurse and put him to bed.  I never seem to drink when I go for a drink.   :? ).  She was like, "He's the best baby I've ever sat for,  :D  but, man, am I exhausted!"  (She was only here for 2 hours).  She couldn't believe how much a kid who "can't crawl" can get around and move from one side of the room to the other and get into things and get bored and move on from things.      Pretty cute!
Have a great evening/morning!

Judy - HOOOOOORAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!  :D   :D  :D  :D  :D  Fingers (and everything else) crossed that it continues.  I'm so happy for you that you get to get some SLEEP!  I kept meaning to suggest to you that since Zoe and Sarah kept getting up at night when the twins were up, you should just teach the two of them to put Kaia and Hannah back to sleep

Micky - good news about Jack - hope he's feeling well!

Hannah - good to hear the dry run went well - I don't have to be at work until 10 AM on the two days a week I work and I'm amazed at how long it takes me to get there.

Nikki - glad to hear the brownies were a hit.

Hayley - take care of those boobs!  Make sure you don't get sick

Traci - I am horribly bad about the monthly breast exam.  I always lie to my OB/GYN when she asks if I do it.

Andrea - can't wait to see the clothes!  I would totally love another LO whenever he/she decides to come along.  Not doing anything to prevent it, but don't think it wil happen anytime soon.

Holly - hang in there!  Judy's post should give you some hope!

Hi to everyone else!  We hung out with my sister and my nephews today - lovely day.  Have a nice weekend everyone!

Kate I *just* saw the post about Stacy on the pregnancy board!!  How exciting is that?!!!!!  I remember when we found out we were expecting twins - I would have hit the floor if I wasn't lying down!!  So thrilling.  Gosh!  goosebumps.

Holly - what's going on?  I looked back a few pages after seeing everyone tell you to hang in there but I didn't see your original post (this thread is FAST!!)

Hey all,

first off, JUDY-I AM THRILLED FOR YOU!!!  YOU MUST FEEL LIKE A NEW WOMAN, OR AT LEAST HUMAN AFTER GETTING SOME SLEEP!   :D    I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that it continues.  Amazing what "by the book" can do huh?

Hannah and Traci-glad to hear that both kids are no worse for the ware after their little accidents.  Today I slammed T's pointer finger in the desk drawer!!       When she sits on my lap while I am on the computer, she likes to open the drawer and look inside.  She started to get my calculator so I went to shut it and kept pushing thinking, "hmmm, why isn't it closing?"  Then she started screaming!  What a dummy I am!

Hannah, glad the test run for work went well.  You have done such a good job with her that she will be a breeze for anyone to watch.

Kate you little lush!   just kidding of course.

Hayley-PLEASE PUMP!  you are making my boobs hurt just thinking about it!

thanks to everyone for being so supportive with the baby business!  you're interest and enthusiasm makes it much more liek a reality.  Now hopefully you all like the stuff!

Have a great night everyone.  looking forward to Sundays chat

Yay Judy! That's great news.  :D

Both my kids have had similar incidents - Danielle had her arm clipped in with her highchair tray   and Nathan had a finger in the hole for one of the harness clasps in his buggy when they were both about 6mths old (with Nathan I didn't realise what was happening and kept on jamming it in).

Hayley, I must have missed something, are you completely weaning Daniel from BFing?  Definitely go easy on yourself if you can rather than cold-turkey.  Chilled cabbage leaves inserted into your bra work wonders I've been told - not just an old wives tale.

Karen, you can cook the egg solid and then pick off the remainding white.  I've just decided to leave it all together for a few more months and work on other foods.

Thanks for all the support on the work "dry run".  I am hoping that all goes well, but as I have said before I am extremely nervous about it it just seems like when I was teaching before I was always sooo tired and didn't have any extra time...how am I going to be a full time teacher and a mom??  The age old question I guess.

dss (step-son :)) is with us this weekend.  Dh went to play hockey tonight so I am here listening to ds explain hockey...he wants so much to be just like his dad.  I wish they could spend more time together.  Got him on the crayola site that was mentioned on the "hogging computer" thread.  Thanks for that one he loves it...I think it was Kate?

Big day tomorrow.  We will see SIL. Actually Ds is spending the night with SIL tomorrow night (on e of our two nights with him) dh actually said he feels bad that she doesn't get to spend more time with him because she "helped raise him".  I just have such a hard time realting to some of these things with dh's family.  SIL talked to me the other night and kept saying she hadn't seen Brendan since Sept and how crazy that was etc...she didn't say a thing about Sophie.  Of course, I wasn't surprised.  She is really dysfunctional.  It's sad.  It's like she being a martyr or something...like in her mind she's thinking "well, Hannah won't let me get close to Sophie, so I guess I'll just pretend like she doesn't exist" Like she thinks that's going to hurt my feelings or something.  Frankly I'd rather her stay further away so it doesn't really bother me.
Anyway...such a ranter and raver I am!
Judy---What else can I say but yahoooooooo!  You must be so thrilled and  feel so great.  Sleep is sooooo important.  I am so glad you are finally getting some :)  Can you imagine if it WAS you having another set of twins???
Hayley--what's up with the brick boobies?  Are you feeling any better?  What's your plan? BTW congrats to Daniel for taking the bottle so well.
OK, there's more but I gotta get ds to bed.
Talk to you all tomorrow hopefully....I'm sure I'll have loads of venom to spew over my SIL
