Spitting up issue
« on: October 15, 2005, 14:52:58 pm »
It does not matter if my ds has just a bottle or a bottle and cereal, even two hours after I feed him he spits up.  This happens more when I pick him up, I don't jiggle him, he will spit up a little cottage cheese like substance.  This makes it really hard to play with him or even just hold him. I figure after 2 hours, eveything should be digested. Is thing normal?

Any ideas,

5 kids...yes, Teresa is my hero too! :D

How long has your DS been on cereal? Did he spit up before you started cereal as well? I'm curious, because if the spitting up has started since you introduced cereal, that may be the issue. I know you said he spits up even if he just has a bottle, but if his digestive system isn't ready for cereal, it could still be off kilter for many hours after he's eaten cereal. Does that make sense?

If he's always spit up, then that's most likely not the culprit. Spitting up is pretty normal, and if he's always done it and isn't in pain, then he'll likely outgrow it. HTH!
