Can't leave room until DD's asleep
« on: October 21, 2005, 05:12:21 am »
At night, I used to be able to put dd in her crib & leave her room immediately.  For the past 2 weeks or so, I've had to stay in the room until she falls asleep (up to 30 minutes) or else she'll start screaming.  Can I try to get her back to her old pattern - if so, how can I go about it?  Or is this something I need to just deal with?

She's not as needy during her naps.  I can leave immediately although she'll protest for 10 minutes which she didn't used to do either.

Are you having any night wakings or other signs of separation anxiety?

No night wakings.  She's very attached to me since I'm her primary caregiver but I don't think anything out of the ordinary.
