still has the white patches from thrush

I tired to put this on the tips for beating thrush forum but nobody seems to be responding.  My daughter has had thrush 3 times now GRRRRR.  She was put on nystatin for the second time about a month after the second bout of thrush.  She's been done the medicine since Tuesday (it's now Friday)  shouldn't they be gone?  I called my doctor but the nurse said that it just takes some time for them to go away.  My friend told me about breast sheilds that should keep her from giving me any more thrush, has anyone tried these and where can I get them.  I've tried Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart, no luck.

Have you checked out the sticky message on thrush? ( :roll:  Sorry, I have to ask)

Everyone I've worked with that has had resistant thrush has done much better with genetian violet. Is that an option for you, where you live?

yes, we tried gentian violet the first time.  but we're  tempted to do it again!

The sticky message on thrush on thrush? 
Also the last time we used gentian violet we spilled it all over the couch.  Not too keen to try again as I'm sure you can imagine.  However.... we'll try anything!
