hi there,

bout 2 weeks ago we started r lo on baby cereal which loves. he cries for it now and opens his mouth wen he sees the spoon!! so cute!
anyway, heres my daily routine;

7.00 awake, 8oz bottle
11.00 8oz bottle and 2 tbsp cereal
approx 13.00 cooled boiled water
15.00 8oz bottle
18.30 8oz bottle and 2 tbsp cereal
19.30 bed (sleeps till 7!!)

want to start introducing more tastes, has anyone got a plan that works?
he really enjoys both his feed and cereal but i feel its time to increase solids. not sure how....any advice would be great.

Hi,
I can recommend the Lorraine Kelly book (less complicated recipes than Annabel Karmel). Buy it in Asda for about £2.50. It covers from 4mo to toddlers. DD still has most of her meals from it!
We first started with pureed fruit & veg. One at a time to check for allergies/reactions, then once lo has had it for 2 or 3 days and not reacted, try another food.
DDs favourites were butternut squash, carrott and pear.
I used to use a hand blender and then put them in ice cube trays and freeze. One ice cube was more than enough to start with.
It is also better to try something new early in the day so reactions (if any) don't occur right on bed time!
