Talking in sleep
« on: October 24, 2005, 23:33:45 pm »
Aiden talks in his sleep, on a good night he wakes me once (I don't normally have to get out of bed) but some nights its more like 3 or 4. He pretty much re-lives stuff that happened that day & it mostly occurs in the second half of the night

I can't wear ear plugs as he is louder than Liam, so when Liam wakes up for a feed/comfort, I need to hear him. Fortunately he usually only wakes once.

It is driving my mad (through exhaustion) as I get woken & then take an age to get back off, even when I do relaxation breathing & goign to bed at 8.30/9pm to compensate makes me feel like I have no life

I doubt anyone has any way to help, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway

Oh Kate, I swear you and I have the same kids! hehe.

Nathan's a talker and yes one wake up a night is a good one...

I think he's gotten it off his father.  I hear "dig dig dig" or other strange things that can only be reliving his day rather than a demand for something during the night.

Nikki I have to agree with you on that one. I see posts from you & think... wow sounds like my life.

Nathan & Aiden are alike & it seems so are our #2's both seeming easygoing

I also think it comes from Aiden's Dad...my favourite is "oh no choo choo crash" From my train obsessed boy

I have a talker too! He has woken me up to tell me that he was chasing chickens (he goes to daycare on a farm) and once told me how an elephant was wearing socks. He talks/laughs/cries out at least once a night and yes, he often has to have me come in a reassure him at least 3-5 times a week...

Glad to hear that your second children are more easy going!

SLeepy vibes to you both!
