Help - Cot to Bed

Hello there,
I have recently put my 19 month old daughter into a junior bed.  Unfortunately for this bed we can't get a guard that fits, so I have put a board up on the side after her falling out a few nights and also then coming to our bed.  Also right from day 1, I made a rod for my own back and hold her in my arms to sleep and now she won't go to bed on her own, I have to hold her till she falls asleep, Any advise anyone!

Sorry forgot to add that all of a sudden she won't go to be her normally 7:30 to 8:00 and is going to bed about 09:30  :(
