Short nap. Is it a problem?
« on: October 28, 2005, 12:41:37 pm »
My baby (7weeks) sleeps very well at night, from 9pm till 5-6am and goes back easily and wakes up at 8.
She falls asleep on her own but we need to stick to the night routine. Walk, feed, bath, wind down.

But during the day she seems to catch with her food. Since she has only one feed during the night she feeds more ofter during the day and takes only 45 mins naps. She doesn't seem to be tired, smiling playing, happy baby. Stays awake one hour and 15 mins and back to sleep for an other 45 mins. I don't know if I should try to change it as I am afraid I could mess up her night sleep.

I know this is the first day, but today I've tried to sush pat her back to sleep when she woke, but she was screaming until I gave her food, but didn't eat much and went back to sleep.

I think she is spirited/textbook, with a hint of grumpy.

What should I do???
Take care

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. She's still very young. Wait and see if her naps become longer when she consolidates.  Lots of feeds during the day will ensure a good milk supply.
