« on: October 28, 2005, 16:25:18 pm »
Ok we were taking 2-2.5 hour naps..then it went to 1.5 consistently and now this week its at 1 hour.  I didn't think much since she was sleeping so well at night, but last night was horrible and she only took one hour nap.....suggestions?

WTF one hour naps...

It's been ALL over the place.  I don't know what's going on with her.  She has no consistent wake up time and thus her entire day is off...for the MOST part this is her day....

6:30 a.m. wake
7:00 milk
8:00 breakfast
11:30 lunch
12:00 nap for 1-2 hours (very very very rarely is it 2..MOST days it's 1.5 which she wakes up tired from an hour later)
3:00 snack
5:30 dinner
6:00 bath
7:00 bedtime

She usually wakes up in the middle of the night a few times indicating she's overtired...really this is the way it was months ago - the schedule above- we haven't really been on one in awhile because her naps and wake times are ALL over the place.

PLEASE HELP!

I wouldn't worry about the 1 hr nap too much if it's only been a day or a few days. Especially in light of the night wakings - it completely sounds like your dd is having a problem that is disturbing her sleep - teeth, cold, temperature sensitivity (recently my dd has been waking around 4:30, and I think she might be cold...). I wouldn't panic yet, just go with the flow and try to make sure you keep all her routines and cues on track.

My only worry would be if you think she's lost the ability to resettle herself. If that's the case, I would work to get her back on track going to sleep on her own.

Otherwise, try to help her with teething, etc. so that she can sleep better!
