dream feed during the day?
« on: October 30, 2005, 04:17:48 am »
Hello,
Daphne, our sweet daughter, is 3.5 months old. I am breast feeding
her, and since she was about 3 weeks, she has been having some
difficulties eating. We think it has to do with reflux (we have it in
our family) and/or gas. Now it's much better, and there are times
when she eats well, and times when not so... The last couple of
days we tried something new. Since she feeds really well while
she's sleeping, if she is sleeping when it's time for her to eat
(after 4 hours from the last feed), instead of waiting for her to
wake up from her nap, to just take her from her bed/stroller
and feed her while she's sleeping. After that to continue with
the activity and so on. We have been thinking - is this a good
solution? We don't want to do something that will cause
problems in the long run... any thoughts?

Thank you very much,
Iris and Ron.

I don't see a problem with that. As long as your Daphne seems to have no problem with it and everybody is happy with that solution, go for it. Moms who have problems with babies being on a nursing strike nurse their babies during a nap, too.

tnx! we see that sometimes it works great... now that she is
looking around all the time while she's eating it's even harder....
thx for your reply!
