Help with nap
« on: October 30, 2005, 19:12:20 pm »
DS 3weeks will only sleep with pacifier in his mouth if he goes to sleep that way.  We try to take it out after he goes to sleep but he wakes right up.  If we do get him down without it he sleeps better but those naps are getting less and less.  When we do the winddown he is LOOKING for something to suck.  I have tried taking it away before he is in his crib but it dosen't work.  If it falls out we have to go replace it.

Is he too young for pat/shush?  I tried it but he gets mad because he is grunting looking for the pacifier not really crying.  I have also left him alone grunting and he NEVER puts himself to sleep he ends up crying.

Any advice?
Jennifer
