Help with 7.5 month old and just starting EASY
« on: November 01, 2005, 09:44:30 am »
Hi there,
I wonder if you can answer a quick question for me.  I am just starting EASY with my 7.5 month old and I have a question about pu/pd.  I take her into her cot after she has shown tired signs and we've done the 5 minutes or so of quiet time.  As soon as I put her in her cot she flips over to her front and starts crawling around and standing up.  She's not unhappy (quite the contrary, she usually has a big grin on her face!).  Do I pick her up again or do I just leave her to try and settle herself.  I know that if she gets upset I'm meant to pick her up again, but I don't know what to do if she's just crawling/standing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds to me like she may not be tired yet?  :D

My DS is doing the same thing.  If she's happy, just leave her alone in her crib for a little while.  She'll call you when she's ready to fall asleep (or she'll just fall asleep on her own).  Once she starts fussing and whining while crawling or flipping over, then it's time to put her back.
