sleep for 4 months
« on: November 02, 2005, 06:51:38 am »
I read that at ds age they generally need around 15 hours sleep in 24 hours. If they sleep 12 hours at night am I being unrealistic to expect him to sleep for more than 45 mins to an hour for daytime naps?  He very rarely sleeps longer than an hour at a time during the day.
Thanks all

it depends.  if your lo wakes up chipper & happy and is fine with short naps, then that's probably what you've got.

but if he's instead waking up crying & cranky, then you might want to visit the naps forum for tips on extending his naps.

keep in mind too... some babies only sleep 10-11 hrs at night.
