The guidelines I've seen are 8 mo for meat and 10 mo for corn. The reason why it's so late for both is that they aren't easily digested, especially corn. Here's a chart that might help

I have given my little one sweetcorn since 6 months, she is digesting it fine and I am waiting for meat until 8 months although she is already on chicken and fish (from six months).

in Oz both ar recommended from 6 mo - i have not done meat yet (will start this weekend) but i do corn - the best way i do it is pureeing it with pumpkin - some little bits of corn remain but not a problem.

I have given my lo sweet corn since 6 monhs. i steam and puree then push trough a sieve to get rid of the "skin?" of the corn. It comes out like a mush.
