EASYly confused!
« on: November 05, 2005, 13:24:51 pm »
Ok, if my daughter is on a 3 hour easy schedule and she wakes up 2 hours before the morning routine is supposed to start (say 5 instead of 7) do we put her right back down to sleep (she's slept 10 hours at this point) or do we start the 3 hour rotation at 5 am?
Thanks,
Tracey :?

Hi Tracey - cute picture of your DD!!
Are you feeding her when she wakes at 5 am? How old is she? My suggestion would be that if you are feeding her at 5 am, treat this as a nighttime feed and put her back down to sleep. If you are not feeding her (although if she is on 3 hour EASY I am inclined to think you are  ) I would try to get her back to sleep.
My DD wakes often at 5 am and likes to play for awhile. If I leave her she will sometimes just go back to sleep and wake again at her usual 7 am. Sometimes she needs to be reswaddled and pat/shhhed back to sleep of course.
I am eagerly awaiting the day when she doesn't wake early a.m. to have a party in her crib!!

Thanks, Michelle
I am feeding her and I will try to put her back down.  She often wakes up pretty happy at that time but she also seems pretty tired still.  I appreciate the advice.  Sounds like a fun party idea.  My friends and I are waiting to have a "we got our boobs back" party!
