Just to let you know that PU/PD really does work!
We have been battling with 45 minute naps with our 4.5 month old for about six weeks now. To begin with we were a bit in no mans land as she didnt wake up crying, just grizzling, and it on average best part of an hour to get her back to sleep. But we stuck with it. Last week she started waking up after 45 mins absolutely howling, so I knew I had to do PU/PD. It was a bit hit and miss as we had family to stay, but Tuesday I really started, yesterday was a nightmare day, it didnt work at all (fortunately one of lovely ladies on her told me that the third/fourth day can be a regression day when I used PU/PD to wean dd off her dummy).
Anyway, not counting my chickens but this mornings nap was 1.75 hours and this afternoons 1.5....!! I couldnt believe it.
So please, if you are planning to use PU/PD, stick with it, it really does work, this is the second time I have tried it. Its really, really hard, especially when they are crying, but it is worth it in the end.
