Waking early question
« on: November 07, 2005, 11:10:42 am »
Carmela mostly sleeps until 6:00-7 but about once a week she will wake at 5:30, when that happens, do you try to get them back to sleep or just live with it?  I am horrible at getting her back to sleep but my husband is good at it and it probably would work most of the time, but he has to go to work and doesn't have the 20 mins or so to get her back.

Waking early question

I struggle with this one too. My dd wakes anywhere between 5:30 and 7:00. My dh can get her back to sleep, I'm never successful. So if he gets up with her, she's back to sleep. If I get up with her, I usually hang out in her room in the dark for awhile pretending to myself she'll go to sleep, but again she never does.

So personally I don't worry about that one too much. It's too much effort for me, and I'm going to be awake anyway once she's woken me up. On some early wakings, dh puts her back to sleep, on others I get up with her.

I'm also curious what others think.
