Dropping DF??
« on: November 07, 2005, 18:03:05 pm »
I'm thinking of trying to drop the DF for my DS since he's over 8 months old and drinking a about 33oz of formula with the DF plus three meals of solids per day. I'm so nervous because he's been sleeping so well but I think its about time to try it. We only give him 4oz at 10pm for the DF so how should I go about getting rid of it? Should I just go cold turkey and see what happens? Sometimes he wakes for it and other nights he stays asleep while we give it to him but always drinks the full 4oz. TIA

hi ther kal, we too are in the process of dropping the df, but we get a little off balance with it as we have both my two have been a little sick lately.
We are bf so what I have been doing is pulling back the df by a half hour or so at a time. So basically my dd would wake at say 11 for her df, so I pulled it back to 10pm, and so on when she woke, we got it back to 9pm and then all heck broke loose.
