3 month old night wakings
« on: November 08, 2005, 17:59:39 pm »
My 3 month old falls asleep easily after our bedtime routine but he wakes up very frequently during the night, sometimes every 1/2 hour.  We usually reswaddle him and put his pacifier back in which works most of the time.  We have tried the pick up, comfort and put back down without the swaddle and paci but it never works.  We are exhausted and frustrated.  Our baby can not fall back to sleep by himself.  Any suggestions?

Hmmm, not to sure.  Do you wait for him to cry, or is he just waking up and making noise?  I know my lo will wake up at times and make loud noises and fuss quite a bit, but we try to wait until he cries.

Is this new? If so, and he hasn't had this many night wakings up until now, I would say he has just hit his 3 month growth spurt - so try and get more calories into him during the day so that he can go longer at night. If need be, cluster feed him and implement a dreamfeed to tank him up!

I hope that helps
