How Many Bottles at 9 Mo
« on: November 08, 2005, 19:25:18 pm »
My son is almost nine months and takes four bottles a day at 7, 11, 3, and 7.  He eats a lot of solids at 8, 12, and 5:30.  The am feed he sucks down but the other three I have a hard time getting him to take 4 ounces at a time.  Can he go to only 3 bottles a day?  Would that help him take in more ounces?

Thanks

3 bottles at 9 months sounds fine to me - at that age dd had 3 bottles but one of them was a bit of a battle and she had given it up completely by 10 months.  As long as they have around 20 ounces of milk a day inclusive of milk on cereal, in cooking, dairy products, etc then they will be doing fine.

My ds is just over 9 months and he is on 3 bottles a day.  7oz at about 7am.  2oz at 1pm (we're dropping this one) and then 7oz at about 6pm.  I try to use a good amount of milk in his foods too.
