I made this tonight for my lo...I don't know if she is going to like it but to my surprise my 2 year old and 5 year old asked me to save some for them....We tried it and liked it too :D

1/2 butternut squash, roasted
1 T orange juice
1 T butter
a dash or 2 of cinnamon

After I roasted the squash, I scooped out all the good stuff and put it in a pan to cook some more with the other ingredients.  that only took about 2 minutes...puree and add water to desired consistancy.

I got the REAL recipe from foodnetwork and made some adjustments to suit baby food.
I guess we'll see   I hope she likes it!!
Angie
by the way I only made 1/2 of the squash just in case she didn't care for it....if you make the whole thing, just double everything :D

Mmmm, that sounds delicious!!!! :D :D :D I'd probably pass on the butter (DH is lactose-intolerant) but once Nat's old enough for citrus we'll give it a go!

BTW, cumin is also a good seasoning for squash.

My DD liked squash on its own, I was just trying to jazz up the flavor a little bit now that she s older..10 months
We love making it because it is by far one of the easiest things to make.

I am about to try a baby version of slpit pea soup....again an older baby version with some flavor!  :P (I hate split peas) hehe
