Foods to avoid early morning poo poo!!

Hi i have started Jude on solids, its been about three weeks now.  Yesterday he had three meals, pears for brerakfast, butternut squash for lunch and i gave him carrotts for his dinner at 5pm.  He has never never never had a poo in the morning but this morning when i changed his nappy he had  done a poo poo    My problem is i dont know when he did it!! he woke at 5 am and was awake until 6am before goign back to sleep until 7am when i fed him so im thinking this is what maybe woke him up :?

Obviuosly fruits are best avoided in the early evening but what can i give him so he wont poop?? Any suggestions??

Have you tried giving rice cereal at evening feed?  That usually "firms things up" here!

My little one frequently wakes up with poo in her nappy, it happens so often in fact she does not even wake up. I just make sure she is covered in lotion when I put her in bed and we have had no problems,
