What do you mean by a "snacker"????

My DS follows the same schedule most of you do .... formula followed about 1.5 hours later by solids.  Then nap.  Then formula, then solids, etc. etc. etc.

But wouldn't this be considered "snacking" because he's really eating something every 2 hours or so, whether it be solids or bottle.  I notice that he's never REALLY hungry for either.  Like, he doesn't guzzle down 8 ounces of his bottle nor does he ever eat more than 4 ounces of solids.

But yet he won't take both at the same time so it's not like I have a choice in the matter.

But would he be considered a "snacker"???

Most babies' and toddlers' tummies are so small that they need to "snack" in order to keep from getting hungry. Even after transitioning to whole milk at 1 yr, most toddlers get a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack. So I suppose it is "snacking," but that's what works best for most babies and toddlers. HTH!
