On 4 hour E.A.S.Y. and wakes up 6 a.m. - do I feed
« on: November 09, 2005, 18:44:30 pm »
My 7 month old is on the 4 hour E.A.S.Y. schedule but many times wakes up at 5:45 or 6:00 a.m.  Should I feed her immediately and begin the E.A.S.Y. schedule at that time during the day or wait and occupy her until the suggested 7:00 a.m. first feeding and then begin the E.A.S.Y. schedule at that time (which I would prefer).  Make sense?

Yes we'd all prefer that 7am wake up.
This is such a difficult question
If she wakes up happy then she is ready to start the day, so you kind of need to feed her
But if she wakes up grumpy then maybe she jsut can't get the last sleep cycle going so maybe try PU/PD to get her back to sleep

Getting that magic 7am start up can sometimes mean playing around with the day routine... a later (or earlier bedtime) later or shorter naps... it can be a bit of trial & error, but some babies (like my first just are early risers & nothing will change that... I've been trying for over 2 years)
